Meeting Pops

Taylor Week 5 048

This past weekend Taylor was fortunate enough to meet Pops for the first time.  We were all excited to have family up here in this cold weather.  Pops was able to spend lots of time with Taylor, especially in the mornings, as he now stays awake for quite a while after his morning feeding.  Pops was even able to feed him a couple of times.  One feeding that resulted in an immediate bath.  Taylor was chugging his bottle when all of a sudden the 2 ounces he had eaten came right up, and it was all of the 2 ounces.  It was coming out of his nose! He also decided at that same moment to have an explosion in his pants.  Haha.

Pops and Casey went running outside a couple of days, which I thought was absolutely CRAZY!  We received a lot of snow, and Pops was nice enough to shovel the driveway twice!  We hope that everyone is having a great winter, we are getting through it, although I can’t wait for the warmer weather to come so I can take Mr. Taylor on walks.  This Spring/Summer will be great!

Taylor Birth Announcement

So, as everyone knows, we had Taylors photos taken about 6 days after he was born.  It is something that I will cherish forever.  All the photos Gina captured were wonderful.  I couldn’t have asked for anything more.  We spent a fair amount of money on these pictures, so the deal was that I had to design our birth announcements.  I finally had the chance to do so today, but Casey won’t help me decide which one to use!  Men, I tell you, they aren’t much help. So I am asking you guys to tell me which one you like better.  I have my favorite, but I just wanted everyone else’s opinion.  Here they are…

New Year - 2011

So, the new year is here...time for resolutions, right? Well, I decided to do something different this year. I still have my year end goals that I hope to accomplish, but those won't be revealed until December. After reading my photographers website, I thought her monthly recap of her year was wonderful, so I decided to create monthly goals for myself, something that I can look back on and be proud of the person I am becoming as a wife and mother. It is also more satisfying to achieve a goal so much sooner than the whole year! Could be a little selfish, but who cares! They are my goals! So here it goes...

January 2011
  • Set up a cleaning routine, so you aren't overwhelmed in one day, or spend the whole weekend cleaning the house. It will become really helpful when you go back to work!
  • Get on the treadmill at least 4 times per week. You do have the whole month off.
  • Keep waking up with Casey in the morning. Those morning coffee dates will be cherished forever.
  • Keep a log of how much Taylor grows each week, you will soon forget how small his hands and feet are.
I know it's not the beginning of January, but so far, I've been accomplishing all of my goals this month. I want to continue to implement these things into my life with the rest of the year to add something. I hope everyone is enjoying the new year! May everyone be blessed with health and happiness!
Until next time...

Taylor’s First Gator Game

Taylor Week 3 014

Staying awake for a little bit to enjoy the Gators! Believe it or not, he was actually looking towards the TV!

This new year, Taylor was able to experience his first Gator Game! Casey was so excited to share his favorite team with his son.  I was a little nervous, because if they lost, we wouldn’t have another one until the fall.  Well, lucky for me, they won! Taylor had not idea what was going on, but he was dressed and ready to go! The onesie may have been a bit too big, but it sure was fun to dress him in it.  We hope everyone enjoyed the game, and we are definitly looking forward to next season. Hopefully he will be sitting in his Dr. Seuss chair watching the game with his daddy!

Taylor Week 3 019

Casey thinks he’s going be a quarterback, so he had to practice “gripping” the ball.

Taylor Week 3 020

Touchdown! He fell asleep like this right as the Gators scored a touchdown, too funny!

Until next time..
