Let it snow, and snow, and snow, and snow......

Just a preview of the amount of snow. I tried to get a reference point but as you can see, our Gator pride is somewhat burried. The snow only gets higher onlong this edge of the drive way, since it has to go somewhere! Before, I said that this winter hadn't been a bad one. For some reason, I remember last year being a lot worse, and it was in terms of temperature. However, this year we have the snow. And I mean LOTS of it. It was nice at first when there were flurries, so it blanketed all the trees with the beautiful white flakes, or just sprinkled the driveway, needing only a quick shovel. However, now it is time to stop! For the past 3 days, it has done nothing but snow, and I don't mean the light fluffy stuff. No, it is the heavy wet stuff, which takes forever to shovel! Yesterday, I offered to shovel (last time I do that) thinking it would be a great workout. It was a very good workout, my shoulders and back are still sore, but extremely time consuming. The most frustrating part of the endeavor was right as I was finishing, the snow plow came through. I know you are thinking, "why would that be bad?" Well, as the wonderful Bob Cat driver with his oversized shovel came barreling down our road, he decided to push everything back into our drive way!! I was standing there with my full winter gear sweating by this point and he just drives right by pushing it back into the drive way. Oh, I was irritated, but what can you do. I think next winter may require a snow blower.....we will see what Casey has to say about that one.
On a side note, the dogs love it. I wish I could be so happy. As I was miserable shoveling the driveway for the second time, they were having a field day with the 3 feet that has accumulated and made it's resting point on top of our lawn. It is funny to see Kodi with his face all white playing like a puppy. When he tackles Aspen, she disappears for a moment in the snow before she bounces up and surprise attacks him again. Here they are playing a bit...Yes, Kodi is stikcing his tongue out in this picture. I'm not sure if it was frozen for a moment, or he just wanted to play.
Well, only a week away and we will be in sunny Florida. We are looking forward to celebrating and being warm even if it is for a short time period. We love everyone! Until next time...
